Cartoons

I love cartoons. Ive loved them ever since i was a small kid, addicted to nickelodeon. Ren and Stimpy, Ed, Edd N Eddy, and Courage the Cowardly Dog were some of my favorites. I havent been able to keep up with my cartoons since I started my Animation course at Lasalle .. but i do plan on getting back to it very soon! Here are some doodles that i did here and there .. mostly when I was waiting for class to start, or just bored on the bus.

This is a mural that i did back in my foundation year, as a group 2D Project. We could choose any topic to elaborate on ... guess what we chose  =P

(Done with Enamel Paint)

This was my final 2D project in my foundation year at Lasalle. Our brief was anything that described yourself .. this is probably what the inside of my brain looks like.
Wait, that is a little freaky.
Oh well ..

Pen and Paper

I was part of a publication called the 'Chrysalis' back in school. Though it was many years ago, it is one of the things that I am proud of. It was an elite magazine, printed only twice year, and distributed only during literary festivals or prestigious debates, and only to members taking part in them and grade 12 students. The board only consisted of five people. Three for the literary board, and two artists. the whole magazine was done on A3 size, and entirely hand drawn and written. The articles ranged from poems, to meaningful book and movie reviews, to just plain articles written by people who loved writing, and needed a platform to pursue it. I was one of the artists.

Its a long shot - but I want to start a publication like this one day. The bond that the writers and artists develop is something so special, i cannot even begin to describe it. But now enough about the Chrysalis .. i can go on about it for days!

Most of the magazines are not in a very good condition, and back in the day we sudents werent so techno savvy =\
I dont have any digital versions, but i did manage to fix these four ..

Decided to give Chinese Ink a shot. Heres what came of it ..

Illustrator and Photoshop

Here are my first few attempts at using Illustrator, and a few brochures that i designed for a Drama festival for a college back in India, about two years ago.

My first ever Illustrator piece!
I built up on a photograph of myself, and eventually finished with this.

Made on Adobe Illustrator

These were logos that I designed for someone in Australia. They had a restaurant that delivered Indian food located near a major expressway, and were called 'Curry in a Hurry'

This was a splashscreen for a ship simulating software. I interned with a company (ARI India), and the basically created, modeled, and textured 360 degree ship simulators for training purposes.
