FUZZ
Here are the early development sketches for Fuzz. He is still a baby, and busy figuring the world out for himself. Initially, i had pictured him to be a little older, but as i progressed i realized that traits like innocence and curiosity are better shown in a younger, more blossoming character.
Fuzz is innocent and naughty, and often runs into scraps with older polar bears .. but all he really wants to do is have some fun and play!

It was around this time that i realized that using a polar bear design would be a good idea. The simplicity in the design and colour would only aid in making his movements clear. A soft round white ball of fur seemed to be the perfect fit for Fuzz.

AZADE
Azade was heavily influenced by one of my favorite animators, Ari Gibson. His characters in the music vidoes 'Bronte' (Gotye), and 'Sometimes the Stars (The Audreys) inspired me to design a little girl, who is not only lost and alone, but also stuck in a dreary world where one's opinions and choices serve no importance.
The point was to create someone who would capture the viewer's sympathy, yet look aesthetically different at the same time

"KALPANA"
(Imagination in Hindi)
My main character in this short, Sitara, is a poor farm girl who works for a mean old lady in Haryana, a state in India. Though she is so young, she forgets all about her imagination and the wondrous little worlds in her head. Her hard life left no time for her to dream.
One day, she accidentally finds it again, hidden away in a dusty old box. Descriptions are added on every page of the development process.
